Onslaught

Onslaught is the most recent game that I have worked on. The basic concept for the game was that it is a first-person arena shooter. Players would be able to customise their tanks to their liking and then use them in an online multiplayer format.

 

This was one of the few projects that I did not take on a programming role. For a project of this scale, it was clear that we would need a dedicated team leader, this is the role which I took on.

 

As Team Leader it was my role to organize a program plan that clearly set out the tasks and timeline to get Onslaught to completion. I delegated tasks to team members that were compatible with their strengths but also making sure they weren't overloaded through the project timeline. This turned out to be a much more difficult role than I first thought.

 

The final product was showcased at the SAE open day and was a huge success with a large number of people showing up to play against their friends. I was for proud of how our team worked together and the end product we produced.
